100 km – Tour Of Bhakra Nangal (Competitive) cut-off time: 7 Hours Route Map

Reporting Time: 5:30 am | Flag off Time: 6:00 am

This track will give you an experience of all terrains –hard and soft trails as well as flat terrains. The track will take you over water bodies and the view around you will be breathtakingly beautiful. This one is for those cyclists who are ready to challenge themselves. Minimum age to participate in this category is 15 years.

Riders under 18 years and above 15 years of age Can participate in 100 km after ascertaining parents/legal guardian's consent. They will have to submit a signed Indemnity Bond (Click here to download) - at the time of reporting for race and Race Kit collection.

In sync with the celebration of 70 years of Bhakra Nangal, this track is no less in terms of experiencing the beauty of the region in comparison to the 120 Km track. Minimum age to participate in this category is 15 years.

Riders under 18 years and above 15 years of age Can participate in 70 km after ascertaining parents/legal guardian's consent. They will have to submit a signed Indemnity Bond (Click here to download) - at the time of reporting for race and Race Kit collection.

A distance of 21.1 Km will be a good start to your fitness journey. If it’s your first half marathon, what better way to start than to run in one of the most beautiful tracks!

Prize Money Rules:-

  • Men and women both Indian and foreign nationals can participate in the event.
  • An individual can participate only in one category out of all six categories.
  • Participants must be over 18 years as on 17th March 2019 (applies for all cyclothon categories and the 21 Km Half-Marathon).
  • For the cyclothon race categories, no categorization exists on the basis of bike types and podium places can be obtained by anyone irrespective of their bike type.
  • Prize Money is applicable only for the Half Marathon - 21.1 km; The Champs - 10 km; Cyclothon - 120 km and Cyclothon 70 km; as per the rules are given hereunder for Indian and foreign nationals.
  • Positions for prize money entitlement will be based on the Chip/Net time alone. In addition to the rules mentioned herein, entitlement to finish positions and prize money winnings are subject to -
    1. Bib tag timings captured across all timing points on the course, including at the start and finish mats.
    2. Physical verification by technical officials.
    3. Dope test results (as applicable).
  • All participants must display their bib numbers prominently on themselves and if participating in the cyclothon, it should be visible on the bikes as well. Race kit will include timing chipped placard which needs to be fixed and made visible on the bike handlebar at all times.
  • Participants found to have interchanged their running number bib and/or bib tag with others will be disqualified from the competition. Such participants will not be entitled to any timing or prize money (where applicable).
  • For all cyclothon categories, a bike check will be conducted by the organisers before the event. Details are as follows:
    1. Helmets to be worn at all times while riding during the race.
    2. Reflective jackets to be worn by all riders during the evening and early morning hours.
    3. Mandatory front and rear lights on the bike in working condition for early morning hours.
    4. Chain tools.
    5. Puncture kit.
    6. Mini pump.
    7. Multitool.
    8. Square tubes and tyre.
    9. Toolkit as required by bike category (optional).
  • While participating in the competitive cyclothon race categories, riders may not draft behind any vehicle. However, riders may draft behind other riders. Riders found to be drafting behind any motor operated vehicle will be disqualified.
  • Prize winners declared may be required to submit further proof of identity/age, as may be required, for disbursement of prize money, failing which the organisers may, at its sole discretion, withhold disbursement or disqualify the said participant from the competition. Age as on the day of the event i.e. 17th March 2019 will be considered.
  • Race results announced on race day will be ‘provisional’. Final results and entitlement to prize money shall be subject to the rules mentioned herein and the race regulations.
  • Post verification of results, prize money cheques of winners falling within the finish positions as given in the prize money structure shall be drawn in the name of the individual athlete/runner.
  • All prize winners should necessarily provide details of bank accounts in India.
  • Prize money is subject to Indian income tax rules as applicable and taxes, if any, and will be borne by the winner.
  • Timing results: Where a runner’s timing result with respect to his/her gender and/or age, is required to be updated online, the runner needs to write, no later than 25th March 2019, at info@bnws.in, specifying the nature of edit required and attaching the relevant proof of change. Requests received after 25th March 2019 will not be entertained.
  • Fastest Prize winners are not eligible for age category prizes.
  • Prize money will be given within 45 days after the event day.
  • Age category results will be announced on the website and social media within one week of the event.
  • All prize winners should necessarily provide details of bank accounts in India.
  • Winner timings will be declared as per their net time.
